Zhang Kechun: born in Sichuan, China in 1980, currently working and living in Chengdu.

The images captured by Zhang share a common background: the Yellow River. From 2010 to 2013, he started in Kenli County of Dongying, Shandong Province, heads West against the current, where the Yellow River flows into the sea. He made dozens of trips up the river to the source of the Yellow River in the Bayan Har Mountains in Qinghai Province, culminating in a series of works, "The Yellow River" . This is not an ordinary tourist photography, nor is it an exploratory geographic survey. His Lens Vocabulary does not contain such clichés as "the mother river of Chinese civilization" , but instead focuses on capturing people as small as ants, and the story of this river, sometimes it growls in anger, sometimes it snaps.
