    Sculpting Light, Mastering the Moment

——Sony Mirrorless Camera 15th Anniversary Photography Exhibition

"Sculpting Light, Mastering the Moment" distills fifteen years of exploration at the intersection of Sony Mirrorless Camera technology and photographic art. 2025 marks the 15th anniversary of Sony Mirrorless Camera, a journey that began with the pioneering NEX-5C in 2010. This legacy of innovation continues with a comprehensive lineup, including the second-generation flagship Alpha 1 II, the speed-optimized Alpha 9 III, the high-resolution Alpha 7R V, the video-centric Alpha 7S III, the compact Alpha 7C II and so on. Sony has consistently empowered creativity through technological innovation, offering lighter, smarter tools that accompany and support creators in capturing countless remarkable moments.

Over the past fifteen years, rapid advances in imaging have continually expanded the boundaries of creation and brought photographic art to a broader public. Co-curated by Sony and the Jimei × Arles International Photo Festival, this special presentation asks how, in today's new imaging era, we might "sculpt light with technology and set time in place with creativity." Through a dialogue that fuses technology and art, it seeks to spark new horizons for future image-making.

As the signature celebration of Sony Mirrorless Camera 15th Anniversary, the exhibition is conceived as a festival of light where imaging technology and photographic aesthetics enhance one another. The curatorial team has selected over one hundred works photographed with Sony mirrorless cameras, spanning majestic natural landscapes and moving scenes of human life. Together they demonstrate outstanding image quality and reliability across diverse scenarios—spotlighting core capabilities such as ultra-fast autofocus and ultra-high resolution—while also conveying the allure of photography and the transformative power of technological change.

This exhibition is both a retrospective of fifteen years of technological progress and a testament to the force of images—and, equally, a forward gaze: in the interplay of light and shadow, it reveals the depth of our time's memory and the boundless possibilities of innovation.
