In the self-referential environments that he constructs, dramatic, often humorous as well as absurd aspects of the concept of society are exposed. -

Lam Pok Yin Jeff and Chong Ng
2016 TSPA Recipient Lam Pok Yin Jeff and Chong Ng are artists living in Shanghai and London, who work with sculptural objects, installations and performances, which deal with the ontological nature of the medium.Their practice is heavily process-oriented, as they are interested in how narratives and meanings are generated in the making of the image. -

2015 TSPA Recipient Chen’s practice is tied to a natural, oriental aesthetic, influenced by Western abstract art and oriental philosophy. Photography is a personal tool for Chen, used to question broad concepts that migrate from the personal to the philosophical realm. -

2014 TSPA Recipient Zhu is interested in the possibilities of the presentation of photography especially handmade book.Her first book was selected in the list of Photoeye’s Best Books of 2012.Her second book A Journey in Reverse Direction won the Three Shadows Photography Award 2014 and Jimei X Arles Discovery Award 2015.
