In the fall of 2023, with the gradual retreat of the  pandemic, Three Shadows decided to restart the interrupted Photography Award after three years and publicly called for submissions for the Three Shadows Photography Award. During the submission period, a total of 666 valid submissions were received, with the total number of photographic works exceeding 15,000. Both the number of contributors and the quantity of works set historical records. Sincere thanks to all the enthusiastic artists!

The preliminary selection committee, consisting of image art curator and critic Dong Bingfeng, co-founders Rong Rong & Inri, and the Executive Director Qi Yan along with Deputy Director Hu Jiawen of the Three Shadows Photography Art Centre, spent over ten days in in-depth selection and discussion. They finally confirmed that the above 20 groups (21 individuals) possess unique perspectives and artistic expressions, qualifying them for the 13th edition of the Three Shadows Photography Award exhibition.

The 13th Three Shadows Photography Award Exhibition will reunite with everyone in early spring 2024! We will invite an international jury and shortlisted artists to gather at Three Shadows for in-depth one-on-one exchanges, and to vote for the winners of the new Three Shadows Photography Award. The awardees will receive a pre-tax prize of 80,000 RMB. Additionally, the "Luo Bonian Award" will also be selected and presented with a pre-tax prize of 10,000 RMB.

A series of exciting activities such as the Sakura Photo Garden Fair, international jury dialogues, portfolio review, and more will provide audiences with a deeper photography experience and opportunities for expert exchanges. At that time, the Yoshino and Yaezakura cherry blossoms in the Three Shadows courtyard will welcome everyone !
