“Power of the Image” China(Datong) international Photography Culture Exhibition of 2019 opened on Sept. 10th. This exhibition celebrates the theme of “New Energy, New Empowerment, Prosperous Datong” and invites Finland and Lithuania as the guest countries of this year. As one of the main exhibition, “Translation: 2019 the 11th Three Shadows Photography Award Exhibition” concentrates on the works of contemporary young photographers of different styles. After the opening ceremony, six artists from Finland and Lithuania (Sanna Kannisto, Jaakko Kahilaniemi, Ilkka Halso, Dagiene Dovile, Kazakevicius Tadas, and Danisevieius Ramunas) along with the finaists of 2019 Three Shadows Photography Award entered the Datong Library together and had a conversation with the audience about their creative motivations and the context of their works. Those three Finnish artists will also hold a talk at the Three Shadows Photography Art Centre. We sincerely welcome people who are interested about Finnish culture to come and have a conversation with our artists.
In the evening of the same day, during the “Jing Mei Zun” award ceremony, Finnish artist Jaakko Kahilaniemi, Lithuanian artist Kazakevicius Tadas and Chinese artist Yulong Zhou were granted with three important awards for the event.
