Japanese photography historian Mr. Lizawa Kotarowill visit Three Shadow’s widely acclaimed Shoji Ueda Retrospective Exhibitionon the afternoon of October 7 to give a lecture to Chinese artists and art lovers, adding a new dimension to the historical show.
A leading expert in Japanese photography – he has written introductions for Nobuyoshi Araki and published numerous books, including “The Age of Women’s Photography,” “Modern Japanese Photographic Archives,” and “Thinking about Photo Telling: The Meaning of Existence in Photography” – Mr. Lizawa will comment on the work of Ueda with a focus on his “Dunes” series.

After the talk, Three Shadows will provide refreshments for visitors, who can enjoy the gentle autumn sunshine with Mr. Lizawa in the Three Shadows courtyard.
Mr. Lizawa will then do a limited number of one-on-one portfolio reviews for artists in attendance. We recommend preparing a carefully edited portfolio for ease of communication and presentation.
